Huvudskär with its 200 islands, skerries and islets is the archipelago's last outpost. The main island is called Ålandsskär and this is where we go ashore. At Huvudskär you can experience and the quaint beauty of the barren outer archipelago. Here, meadow wool, heather grow in scrubs between the bare cliffs. Look out over a free horizon and experience the magical light that has captivated so many artists and photographers over the years. Take a walk around the island, sunbathe and enjoy the tranquility.

Facts

We depart from the jetty at Gålö or Dalarö, approximatly 30 minutes south of central Stockhoolm, at 09.00 or by arrangement. Parking spaces are available. The number of seats per turn is limited. Cancellation may occur in the event of too few bookings. Payment by card directly to the skipper.



Due to the Corona pandemic, we kindly ask you to consider the following: Only travel if you are completely healthy and symptom free. Spread out is on board. Avoid traveling if you belong to a risk group or are over 70 years of age.

 

These desolate islands are the outpost of the south Stockholm archipelago. Here fishermen recided already in the 15th century, followed by customs officials and pilots, who until the 1940's guided ships through these tretcherous waters to the port of Stockholm .

NAVY SEALS

Head out to the outer archipelago, a barren landscape where untouched wilderness exists. Here we have chance to see seals in their natural habitat. The tour ends with a visit to a former top secret military area, where during the second world war seals where trained identify foreign submarines.
